"Yamka" - Crystal Vortex Energy Necklace

"Yamka" is the Hopi word for "Blossom". The Hopi were one of the many Native
American tribes here in Arizona.
This piece was created with the intention of healing and crystal energy, as well as sacred
site and vortex energies.

I created this necklace using a beautiful Quartz Crystal point that I took with me to several
sacred sites around Arizona. This is a natural faceted Quartz. It has beautiful windows and
very natural inclusions. It is beautifully and naturally faceted, and has small imperfections
as such. I did small ceremonies at these sites to collect the energies from these places into
the crystal.

Quartz Crystal Points have great energy for Healing,  and Energy or Spiritual work.
Quartz amplifies energies of other stones around it or other stones used with it.
Quartz Crystal points are especially useful for healing tools.

I brought this crystal home after taking it on these sacred travels and made this beautiful
necklace using this exact crystal, Sari Silk from India, Copper, Deerskin Leather, and
Turquoise. It has a pretty little moon charm and Turquoise drop with copper wire working.
The moon symbolizes many things including: Intuition, Renewal, Wonder, Cycles, Mystery
and Illumination.

Below are properties of the stones, metal, and descriptions and photos of the ceremonies
and sites where this crystal was taken and charged/cleansed/energized!

Turquoise: Is one of the oldest protection amulets, and was also known as a symbol of
wealth in many ancient cultures. If given a turquoise by a loving friend, that stone would
protect the wearer from negative energy and bring good fortune. The turquoise is the
symbol of friendship. It also brings peace to the home. Turquoise carries great wisdom of
basic truth within it.
Turquoise also represents the Throat Chakra - Vissudha - with the attributes of: ability to
verbalize, expressing truth through power of the spoken word.

Copper: Copper is a great conductor of energy and amplifies the energy of any stones used
with it. Copper has long been used as a healing metal.
The spiral shape represents a vortex of energy and a path to raised vibrations.

I traveled with these crystals to Sedona, Arizona. Sedona is said to have the highest
amount of vortex energy in one given place, in the whole world.

The first place I took the crystal was to Montezuma's Well. This is a very sacred and
spiritual place with very sacred and ancient waters.
I have included some photos of the ceremony, prayers and blessings that were preformed
on these crystals at these sacred sites.
The Hohokam,  Hopi, Zuni, and Yavapai all recount stories of their ancestors living here
and some of them even have legends that their people were birthed from this sacred Sinote.
The well continues to give water to this day. A small spring comes out of the rocks just
down from the well and this is where I held a small ceremony. The Sinagua used the waters
for irrigation of their crops and the limestone canals are still there. These waters are held
as very sacred and are used in spiritual ceremonies.  I blessed and held each of the crystals
under the flowing spring from Montezuma's Well water and infused each of the crystals
with the ancient and spiritual energies from this water and this sacred site. (photo of me
doing this is shown below).

The second place I took the crystal was to Bell Rock in Sedona, Arizona. Bell Rock is said
to have one of the strongest vortex areas in all of Sedona.
My twin sister and our Dad enjoyed a beautiful hike around the mountain. I did another
small ceremony with the 7 crystals I brought along. (photo shown below).

The third place I took the crystal to was Oak Creek, near Cathedral Rock. It had been
raining and the waters were muddy with the red dirt. I let the waters flow over each crystal
to collect the energy from this gorgeous place called Red Rock Crossing.
(photo shown below).

The last place I took the crystal was to Boynton Canyon, another of Sedona's sacred
vortex areas. It was such an amazing feel there! The walls looked like there was once
ancient temples carved into them. (Photo shown below).

This amazing crystal has been blessed, cleansed, infused, and had prayers and ceremonies
done with it at each of these sacred sites in Sedona, Arizona to help it to carry all of these
sacred, spiritual, and ancient energies. Along with the properties from the Quartz Crystal
itself, it has some awesome and great energy! Perfect for your own blessing and healing
ceremonies, as well as wearing them just to soak in the energies!

The Quartz pendant has a beautiful and sparkling dichroic, handmade glass cabochon set
into the deerskin leather with sun ray symbols around it, which I hand burned. The
cabochon is a vibrant pink with hints of aqua, blue and green. The Quartz pendant
measures 1 and 15/16 inches in length, from tip of crystal point to top of leather bale. It
measures about 3/4 of an inch across at widest point. It comes on braided Sari Silk ribbon
that measures 27 inches in total length.
